Zhaoming Academy is named after Xiao Tong, the Prince of Liang Zhaoming of the Southern Dynasty, who once studied at the Wuzhen Museum. Located in the north and facing the south, the Academy is a flush gable roof style ancient building complex with the two floors of the semi cloister, which is the largest academy in ancient towns in China. The front hall displays the statue of Prince Zhaoming and the introductions of cultural celebrities in Wuzhen. At the entrance of the main gate is the stone memorial archway of the "Six Dynasties Relics" during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The main building is the Library of Zhaoming Academy, which has collected more than 10,000 books and magazines on culture, social science, art, leisure and tourism, and is constantly enriching and adding. On the first floor of the library, there is a reading room named after Mr. Mu Xin, the contemporary art master of Wuzhen, a conference room, an electronic reading room, as well as a lecture hall, calligraphy and painting room, and a classroom. On the side of the academy, there is also a Breeze Pavilion bookstore, a hydrophilic platform, and a square brick ink brush calligraphy desk on the corridor. It is a peaceful place to immerse oneself in the cultural atmosphere of Wuzhen.
