Wuzhen Grand Theatre

Wuzhen Grand Theatre is located at the entrance of Yuanbao Lake in the entrance of Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area. It embraces a lake and a green water park in the east. It is adjacent to the Muxin Art Museum in the west. It covers an area of more than 54,000 square meters and is the venue for special performances such as A Dream Like a Dream, the murder of hanging garden and Four Generations Living Together for the first Wuzhen Drama Festival. The design of the Wuzhen Grand Theatre is from two ellipses, and the two overlapping ellipses are cleverly combined. The alternate overlapping is the common stage space. It also contains the festive significance while satisfying the space function requirements. The exterior of the theater is decorated with thick Beijing bricks and cold cracked windows in the south of the Yangtze River. The appearance of the ancient vicissitudes of life is harmonious with the long-established Jiangnan water towns.

The main building area of the theater is 21,384 square meters, with a basement and 7 floors above ground. It has a large theater and a medium-sized multi-purpose theater. The Grand Theatre is the core building of the Wuzhen Grand Theatre. The wall and dome of the auditorium are decorated by the traditional blue print pattern of Wuzhen. There are three steps of the auditorium, and the second floor is also equipped with independent boxes, a total of 1,135. The Grand Theater has a professional stage with functions of pushing, pulling, raising, lowering and turning. It adopts the world's advanced sound and photoelectric equipment, so that the audience can get perfect hearing and visual enjoyment no matter where they are in the theater.

The Central Theater and the Grand Theatre are separated by a sound-absorbing wall that can be raised and lowered. They are independent of each other. There are 224 seats in the telescopic seat, which can be used as a multi-purpose venue for performances, conferences, banquets, 3D movie screenings. Wuzhen Grand Theatre is a large-scale social and cultural facility integrating drama, concert performance, exhibitions, cultural and artistic exchanges. It also has the auxiliary functions of rehearsal, conference, research and other cultural activities. It adds new vitality to the town's millennium history and culture.

Water Theater

The Water Theater is a fascinating amphitheatre with more than 2,300 seats of slabs that are fanned out and raised floor by layer. The lush trees are spaced in and around the passage. The main stage in the nearly 7,000-square-meter crescent-shaped lake has a panoramic view. Behind the stage, the old buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Ma Tau wall, the Guanyin pocket, the towering white lotus ancient tower and the Wenchang Pavilion of the flying horns outline the pulsating skyline.

Sun -Moon Theatre

It’s an open-air performance venue. In 2013, it was the main venue for the first drama festival "Old Town Carnival", which is usually used as an open-air film screening venue. It can be held separately, or it can be combined with the adjacent National Music Theatre to form an overall venue for indoor and outdoor activities.

Ancient Courtyard Theatre 

Located in the middle section of Xizha Old Street, it is also known as the “Water Stage” because it is built on the water. The front and back of the stage are transparent, and the roof of the middle stage is magnificent and beautiful. The theatre can accommodate approximately 192 people.

Shen Estate Teahouse Theatre

According to legend, the teacher of the prince Liang Zhaoming, the descendant of Shang Shuling's Shen Yue, is a unique Jiangnan compound, with four rooms and five entrances, each with a patio and a gate. It used to be the main venue for the Wuzhen Drama Festival Organizing Committee Office and the lectures and workshops of Chinese and foreign masters.

XiushuilangTheatre (West Warehouse Theatre)

Located in the green area of the Xiushuilang in the scenic area, it has a history of more than 100 years. The theater is divided into upper and lower floors and can accommodate more than 100 people. Thanks to the traditional stage and auditorium design style, the performers can easily interact with the audience, which is very suitable for experimental drama, modern dance, art exhibition and other activities.

Bangwan Theatre (East Warehouse Theatre)

Located on the west side of Xiushuilang in Xizha Scenic Area, it features the unique surround-style stage design of the theatre and can accommodate up to 200 people to watch the performance at the same time. Due to the regularity of the venue, it has been remodeled as a multi-purpose venue for small-scale performances and receptions and is an  ideal Address for business meetings.

Poetry Square

Located at the end of Xizha Old Street, it is an open-air plaza adjacent to the Water Theater. It was originally used by silk merchants to dry silkworm cocoons, silk and silkworms. Therefore, the folks also call it “Silk Square”, which is surrounded by ancient silk factories, shops and homestay. When repaired in 2008, many poems of Wuzhen celebrities were engraved on the square, so it was named “Poetry Square”.

Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center Net Theatre

It is located in the northwest of Xizha, Wuzhen, near to a canal in the west, Huanhe Road in the east and Xizha in the south. Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center Net Theatre has a total construction area of about 60,000 square meters. It is the main venue for the World Internet Conference. It is also the main venue for Wuzhen Scenic Area to undertake conferences and exhibitions. It is designed with simplicity, environmental protection and wisdom. The architectural style fully considers the Internet elements, Chinese traditional culture and the characteristics of Jiangnan water town. The Net heater is a pavilion in the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center, with a total of 427 seats, equipped with professional lighting and sound equipment.
