Fang Lu Ge
The location of the Fang Lu Ge Teahouse is very good, facing Changfeng Street in front and leaning against the Xishi River. Opening door, you can see the bridge and opeing the window, you can see the water. It is the best in Fengshui and most famous teahouse. It is famous for two reasons: firstly, its name is related to the historical "tea sage" Lu Yu. It is said that Lu Tong, the founder of this teahouse, once saved Lu Yu's life on the tea mountain of the Taihu Lake. Lu Yu, in gratitude for Lu Tong's life-saving kindness, once brought a handmade Qingxin tea to visit Lu Tong, hence the name "Fang Lu Ge". Secondly, it is related to Mao Dun, the master of modern literature. Mao Dun's house is less than a hundred meters away from Fang Lu Ge. Mao Dun's grandfather Shen Enpei often went Fang Lu Ge to drink tea. Mao Dun wrote in his memoir The Road I Passed: "Grandfather's life was very regular. Every morning, he went to Fang Lu Ge, where local gentlemen and wealthy businessmen often went, to drink tea, or to listen to music in the West Garden." Mao Dun also often went to the teahouse with his grandfather when he was young. Interested parties can also go to Fang Lu Ge for a drink after the visit.
