Hang white chrysanthemum

Since white chrysanthemum is grown in Tongxiang, why is it called "Hang white chrysanthemum"? It is said that as early as the early years of the Republic of China, the white chrysanthemums in Tongxiang were well-known both domestically and internationally, and were sold by Wang Yutai, an Anhui tea merchant at that time, to various countries in the Southeast Asia. And Zhu Jinlun, a local chrysanthemum merchant in Tongxiang, also benefited greatly from this. Zhu Jinlun purchased the dried white chrysanthemums from farmers and carefully processed and packaged them. According to the requirements of tea merchant Wang Yutai, they were labeled with trademarks and product descriptions, and then resold to Nanyang businessman Boss Liang through the tea merchant. Wang Yutai, a tea merchant from Huibang, was a shrewd boss who understood the ways of competition in the business world. In order to prevent Nanyang merchants from abandoning him as a middleman, he instructed Zhu Jinlun to affix the words "Produced by Hangzhou West Lake Jinlun Tea House" on all white chrysanthemum packages produced in Tongxiang. Later, the shrewd boss Liang did use the trick of "demolishing the bridge after crossing the river ". He set aside Boss Wang and went directly to Hangzhou to search for "West Lake Jinlun Tea House", but of course he couldn't find it. But since then, the white chrysanthemums in Tongxiang have been named "Hang White Chrysanthemum", which has been used to this day.
