Water Fair Inn, also known as the "Water Fair House," is located on the south side of Shuishikou in West Gate, embedded between the old West Gate block and the Wind and Rain Corridor. It originates from the Tang Dynasty, flourishing in the Ming Dynasty. According to the Wuzhen Town Annals, a poem by Ming Dynasty poet Zhao Huan reads: "Fat chicken, white rice and fresh fish are in a basin, merchants sell them far by boats, tourists from all directions gather in Wu villages, the area is densely populated, the autumn scenery in Maojia Lane is beautiful, and the singers in Furong Tavern is charming. It is said that here is a gathering place for merchants from all over the country to stay, and the inn has become a gathering place for merchants from all over the world to exchange information and market trends. Therefore, this Shuishikou Inn also has an elegant name - "Market Guild Hall".
